Team Finland in Nepal

The Team Finland network promotes Finland and its interests abroad: the internationalisation of Finnish enterprises, investments in Finland, and the country brand. The Team Finland operating model brings together the key actors and services in these fields. The core of the network consists of the publicly funded organisations operating in these fields, such as the ministries, Finland’s network of diplomatic missions, Finpro, Tekes, national culture and science institutes, Finnvera, Finnfund, and the regional internationalisation services, built upon the ELY Centres.

The Team Finland network will help your enterprise become more international, grow, and succeed in the global market. For more information on services to companies seeking internationalisation, see: services.team.finland.fi.

Objectives of the Team Finland network in Nepal

The economic and commercial relations between Nepal and Finland are still modest and the cooperation mainly concentrates on development cooperation. But there is a promising example of commercial success. That is Ncell, which is mainly owned by Telia-Sonera. Ncell has rapidly become the biggest mobile operator in Nepal. In the future there is potential for trade between Finland and Nepal in innovative education solutions, renewable energy, hydro power and environmental technology just to mention a few.

The objective of the Nepal-Finland Team is to introduce the strengths of Finland in trade. It also aims at making Finland more known in Nepal.
