EU Film Festival in Nepal

EU Film Festival

The 7th edition of the EU film festival takes place in Nepal in July. Films from all over Europe will be screened in the Nepal Tourism Board Hall in Kathmandu from Saturday 14th of July until Monday 16th of July. The movies of the festival include, inter alia, a biographical film of a French ocean adventurer and a British film telling a story of the struggles of a Pakistani mother. Tickets can be obtained for free at NTB premises, Lavaza Coffee, (Lazimpat) and Nanglo Bakery (Pulchowk).

Finland, naturally, is represented in the festival. The Finnish film is Escape from the Moominvalley, a documentary focusing on Tove Jansson, the creator of the Moomins. The film will be projected on Sunday 15th of July. In addition, a selection of Finnish short films will be seen on Monday 16th of July, the last day of the festival.

European films will also be shown in Pokhara from 6th until 8th of July. In this shorter version of the festival it is possible to see the selection of Finnish short films.
